| No, I think I lied.... I am pretty convinced that I will continue to go
through my life, not pasting on Xanga. I wish i would post, but i never
think to, so this is not going to be a time when I "start posting a
gain, seriously...", I am destined for one post every 6 months I
believe.
oh well

p.s. - life is awesome right now =D

| It's been too long since I posted. Most likely this will be the one
post I make about every 3-6 months that talks about how I never post,
but, There is a slim chance that this may actually be the time when I
say, "I am gonna start posting again," I actually mean it.
Life has been great, although I am not the greatest student, as usual.
I am having a greta time at JMU, the Lord is teaching me things, he is
blessing my life, and I am a happy camper. I finally got my application
for Summer Porjects in, and hopefully it is not too late. Either way, I
know I will end up where God wants me this summer, I just really,
really hope that God wants me on a summer project! Got some fun volley
ball in last night up on the court by Chesapeake, followed by a most
satisfying slurpee, which took visiting four destination to finally
secure. First intermural frisbee game was sunday night, which we won,
and another game tonight, which I am pumped for.
Also, as usual, I am posting at time when I should be doing something
else, so I must go write a small paper that I have due in an hour and a
half, and hopefully I will finish with time to get something to eat on
the way to class.
Also, as usual -

| So, after 7 months, I find it time for a post. If for no other reason,
it is interesting to write on here just for myself, even if there is a
slim chance of another reading it.
Anyway, this semester has been a good one. It is 4:15 am, I have my
last final at 8 am, and I haven't studied for it much. I plan on
staying awake between now and then, and will get to studying in a bit.
Living in the Rock House has been so awesome. I love the guys, and we
have had a freaki nton of fun. I was disappointed last year when i drew
the last number in the room pic and ended up with the attic. Dispite my
first reservations, I love my room. I have god a sweet set up and the
spaceis optimized. My little space heater keeps it cozy up here all the
time, and in the summer my bow fan in the window keeps it nice and
cool. My 2 desks make an L shape in the corner with the windows and I
can look out onto the street. I can always here people talking outside
the house as they come and go, so i stay notified of what';s going on,
even when I am couped up in the tower. Irecently threw up some
christmas lights bordering my room and it looks tight in here. My bed
is comfy, I've got my little table fan the lulls me to sleep, I just
set up a reading light, and I have got enough posters up to satisfy me
for the time being.
I can't make this too much longer, or else no one will read it. I am
PUMPED about Christmas because I am getting a laptop!! Finally gonna be
able to talk that puppy to class, be able to do work somewhere other
than my room. I am also excited about heading to Florida to see family
for Christmas. Christmas Conference with Crusade is gonna be fun too.
Alright, hopefully it has not already exceeded the acceptable length for people to actually read this.
To God be the Glory,

| Woot! Finally got my leg stitched yesterday. Still got the leg
immobilizer on my leg, meaning I can't bend my knee. I am still in bed
for another week or so at least, but it is in the healing stage at
least. I'm hoping to be almost back to normal in no more than 2 weeks.
Can't wait to see X-men 3!!!!

| Alright, once and for all, here is the official leg story which will
keep me from telling it over and over countless times to my caring
friends. There is a short version at the bottome if u don't wanan read
my whole story.
I was over at Richard's house with Matt, Matt's brother Kevin, and a
kid named Tyler who lives in Richard's neighborhood. So we had already
played a round and it began getting dark in the middle of the first
round. We reloaded and talked a bit and decided on one last round
before i headed home. By this time it was nice and dark. Matt and I
headed into the woods behind Richard's house, which was our playing
field, while Richard, Kevin, and Tyler went around to the front of
Richard's house and to start coming for us. I rushed up to a nice spot
a hid on he far side of a shed behind the house next to Richards. I was
in shadow and wouldn't be seen, but i had a good view of the side of
Richar'ds house where they would be coming from. As i waited, one of
them came really close to me and stopped on the opposie side of the
shed. As they came around the back, i unloaded a few rounds on my
unsuspecting victim and run towards Richard's house, hiding behind a
tree on the side of the house. I was plesantly suprised to find that
the other two hadn't realized that I was behind them and had their
exposed backs to me, so I put 4 or 5 rounds into Richard's back as i
hid behind a tree.
I was currently standing behind a treee on what would have been the
right side of richard's house if you were facing it from the street.
The moon was on the left side of the house, to i was standing in the
huge shadow cast from the house, masking everything on that side of the
house in darkness. I started taking fire from Tyler after I popped
Richard, so I tured around a sprinted for the front of the house. As i
ran, mid-stride my leg hit against something very hard against a some
solid object, and my leg immediately hurt bad, and I wondered what i
had hit. about 3 seconds later the pain had already faded as i reached
the lighted front of Richard's house, so I figured it must not have
been so bad. I was mistaken.
I didn't find out until hourse later when Matt and Richard returned to
the house, but the thing I had hit was a ceramic flower pot that had
been broken by the top and had a sharp edge exposed. I never got to see
the pot before it was exposed of, but they say I had to hit it just
right in order to cut myself as I did, so lucky me I guess.
So, I looked down at my leg from the light of the porch and it looked
as if and enormouse wedge of my leg had been taken out. This was pretty
shocking because it didn't hurt at all, which i suppose was a reaction
of the insane amount of adrenaline that must have been kicked into
action by my body. I immediately started yelling for my friends that I
needed to go to the hospital. I limped a few feet to the front door and
rapidly rang the door bell 10 or 12 times. When i reached down to touch
my wound, I realzed that it was not a chunk that was missing, there was
one long gash and my leg was just pulling the wound open at both sides.
Mrs. Bollinger came to the door, I showed her the wound, and she
immediatley ran to get her keys. Richard next found me and ran inside
and called my parents. Tyler and Kevin found me next, then Matt rounded
the corner and had put 4 or 5 rounds into Tyler before being yelled at
and realizing I was hurt.

We got into the back of the Bollinger's van, which luckily had the
seats already removed and i could stretch my leg out on the floor. At
the point Mrs. Bollinger I had tied a couple white t-shirt around my
leg to keep it together, but i held me hands aroudn it anyway, because
the woundvery ardently wanted to pull itself open.
We got to the hospital, after Matt took a picture and a video, and I
was put in a wheel chair and ruched to a back room. Mrs. Bollinger
stayed with me until my parents arrive shortly after. They cleaned me
up, gave me some drugs and an IV, put gauze in the wound, wrappep it up
and put me leg in a leg immobilizer. It turns out that God protected me
a great deal that night. The huge laceration I got missed my knee,
missed my bone (althought it cut down to the bone, it just didn't cut
or chip the bone), it missed my calf muscle, and it missed a large
nerve that runs through my leg. So, it is a pain, but there will be no
long term damage or extra complications. Praise God
They told me that I would see the doctor on Monday and he would probably stitch me up on Tuesday.
The raeality was, I saw the doctor on Monday, and he told me we needed
to take the gauze out of my wound every day (very painful mind you),
clean the wound, and then put in new guass and wrap it back up. He said
that I would see him the following Monday, and if it looked good, then
maybe I would get stitched up next Wed. or next Fri. This is to make
sure that there is no infection before they sew me up for good.
So I'm just chillin down stairs in the guest room, since it has a nice
queen size bed, and I've got my comp down here, Dad got me a wireless
receptor for a wireless router so I've got and internet connction, I
stay on painkillers 24/7, and life isn't too bad. I have to crutch
everywhere if I get out of bed, but i just stay put and
read/sleep/eat/play computer games all day. And that's it.
Short Version:
If you don't wanna read all thatm here it is. I was playing airsoft
with some friends after dark, I ran into a broken flower pot and sliced
my leg open. As far as it getting better, It is not even gonna be
stitched up for another week or so, but I am doin alright. No long term
damage has occured, so i will be alright.
I lucked out because:
-missed my knee
-missed a large nerve that runs through the leg
-missed my calf muscle
-missed the bone
God was good to me that night.
oh yeah, here is the video (warning: it is graphic) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jUuBjcjCqs
